AdBlue is a clear, high-purity urea solution that is filled into the separate tank provided for this purpose in newer diesel vehicles with SCR technology
• Only suitable for diesel vehicles with an AdBlue tank (SCR systems)
• 32.5 percent solution of high-purity urea
• is used for the after-treatment of exhaust gases in an SCR catalytic converter
• 10 liter stackable canister with spout

The synthetic and water-clear AdBlue® operating fluid, urea solution, in accordance with ISO 22241 is added to the exhaust gas flow to reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides and particulates and to meet the legal requirements for emission protection. The AdBlue® decomposes at the high exhaust gas temperatures and forms ammonia. This reacts with the nitrogen oxides from combustion to form water and harmless nitrogen, which is a huge benefit to the environment.

Who needs AdBlue?
Every vehicle with an SCR catalytic converter requires AdBlue in order to comply with Euro standards IV, V, VI and the following in the future.

HGVs
Buses and coaches
cars
commercial vehicles
Construction machinery
Emergency vehicles police, fire department
biogas plants
Other diesel engines with catalytic converters
Nitrogen oxide emissions will be increasingly strictly regulated in the future. This means that the area of application for AdBlue will become ever larger.

Consumption
When AdBlue should be topped up depends on the vehicle and the driving style. AdBlue consumption is usually 5-8% of diesel consumption. In general, the instructions from the on-board electronics regarding the AdBlue tank level should be observed. AdBlue must be refilled by the driver or during the inspection. Only fill AdBlue into separate and labeled vehicle tanks - not into the fuel tank.
